Red Lace Night

I got dressed up tonight even though I had no real plans. Just felt like putting on something nice. My red lace top with the high collar. It is one of my favorite pieces because it looks elegant without trying too hard. I was in a hotel room in Bangkok. The lighting was dim and warm which is the best kind of lighting for photos. I sat on the edge of the bed and took a quick selfie. My hair was down, straight and long the way I like it. Sometimes simple is all you need. Bangkok hotels all look the same after a while. Dark wood, white sheets, TV on the wall playing something I am not watching. But there is something nice about being in a room that is not yours. Everything is clean and quiet and you can just exist for a while. I am 29 now and I think I have gotten better at being alone without being lonely. There is a difference. Lonely is when you wish someone was there. Alone is when you are fine either way. Tonight I am just alone, and that is okay.
