Hello Bangkok

I am back in Bangkok. The noise and the lights and the people everywhere. After being away for a while it hits you all at once. The smell of street food on every corner. The motorcycles weaving through traffic. It is a lot but I missed it.

I went to eat at one of those open air places near my area. The ones with the plastic chairs and the fluorescent lights where the food is cheap and good. I wore my white top and kept my makeup simple. Natural lips. Just mascara. Bangkok does not require effort. The city does the work for you.

People were sitting around me eating and talking and nobody cared who I was or what I looked like. That is what I love about this city. You can disappear into the crowd whenever you want. Nobody stares. Nobody asks questions.

I took a selfie at the table because the light was actually nice. Warm and bright from the overhead lamps. My hair was straight and clean and I felt pretty without trying too hard. Those are the best nights. The ones where you do not plan anything and it all just works out.
