The Brakes Can Wait

So my car brakes decided to take a vacation. I am not kidding. I was driving down a hill and suddenly realized I was just sliding. No drama, no crash, just a very interesting few seconds of my life that I will not forget anytime soon.

The car is fine. I am fine. Apparently some brake wires needed replacing. It sounds worse than it was. My guardian angel was definitely working overtime that day. I owe them a raise.

But you know what, I still took photos today. Because life does not stop for broken brakes. You fix what needs fixing and you keep going. That is kind of my whole philosophy. Problems are temporary. My smile is permanent.

Seven photos today because surviving a brake failure deserves at least that many. I am starting April with a story to tell and a car that stops when I press the pedal now. That is progress.
